On December 4, 2020, 23-year-old Casey Goodson was shot in Columbus Ohio. He had come home from the dentist and was unlocking his door when deputy Jason Meade shot him three times in the back. The deputy who shot Goodson, was working for the US Marshal's fugitive task force looking for violent offenders at the time but Goodson was not the person being sought by the task force. Deputy Jason claimed that Casey had a gun on him but it was actually Subway sandwiches he was bringing home for his brother and grandma.
